When Continuing the Campaign in Far Cry 4 Online How Can I Make It Available to Friends Only

Right, first things first, there are a few achievements which are story related and can't be missed. You will get these by playing through the main campaign missions. These are all secret achievements. There are a total of 34 campaign missions and you will get a total of 5 achievements from doing them. One for joining the golden path and four more for dealing with Pagan Min and his 3 generals. You don't need to worry about these as you will have them all by the time the credits roll.

  • Welcome To Kyrat

  • The King Is Dead

    The King Is Dead

There are a few achievements you should be aware of early on. They aren't difficult, but you might want to work on them as you play through the game to save you from facing a tedious grind once you've finished.

One of these achievements require you to travel a total of 5000m using the wing suit. The suit will set you back 25,000 Rupees. It can be purchased from a merchant and it becomes available after completing a few campaign missions. You can use it once you jump from a high enough point and click the left thumb stick cn_LS in to activate it. You will need to use the parachute to stop you from crashing into the ground and killing yourself. This achievement should come naturally because I tended to use the wing suit or the buzzard to get around quickly; I preferred it over driving as I found it quicker. You can do this at any time once you get the suit, but as I said, you will want to knock it out as you go along instead of grinding it out at the end of the game.

  • Like A Bird

Fly 5000m total in the Wingsuit (Campaign only).

    Like A Bird

Like most games, Far Cry 4 has a lot of collectibles in it and achievements based on grabbing a certain amount of each type. Thankfully, you don't need to get all of the collectibles which is nice. They are easy enough to get and you won't need a guide. You can purchase maps from merchants which reveal all the collectibles on your map. If you put a marker on the collectible you're after it will be highlighted in the game and you can see where it is with ease. Like the wing suit achievement I would suggest knocking these out as you go along to save yourself a grind later on.

As I said, there are different types of collectibles in the game and there is an achievement tied to each type. There are 50 Masks Of Yulang scattered around the map, but thankfully you only need to deal with 15 of them to net yourself the achievement. They appear on the map as a blue mask, once you get to the area the mask is in you will need to hunt for it in a small area. The area isn't large, but you can make it a little easier for yourself with a neat little trick. If you put a marker on the mask and head to the area you will be able to see roughly where the mask is located. As long as you don't go inside the highlighted area you are able to see the mask. Take 15 of these down to grab the achievement. They show up on your map once you purchase the treasure map from a merchant.

  • Exorcist

Remove or destroy 15 Masks of Yalung (Campaign only).

    Exorcist

There are also 150 propaganda posters scattered around the world. You need to remove 30 of them for an achievement. To remove them you need to walk up to the poster and press cn_X . If the poster is out of reach you can destroy it using a molotov. They show up on the map once you purchase the treasure map from a merchant.

  • Caretaker Of Memory

Find 10 Lost Letters (Campaign only).

    Caretaker Of Memory

Last but not least, there are a total of 40 Mani wheels located throughout Kyrat. You will gain Karma from interacting with these collectibles. Simply spin 10 out of the 40 for the achievement. They show up on the map once you buy the treasure map from a merchant.

  • Right Tributes

Spin 10 Mani Wheels (Campaign only).

    Right Tributes

There is another collectible type achievement in the game which requires you to read 10 notes. There are loads of notes scattered all over outposts and other locations. They glow white so they are easy to spot. You should have no trouble finding 10 whilst you're playing through the game and liberating outposts.

  • Well Read

    Read 10 notes (Campaign only).

    Well Read

Those are the achievements you should be working on as you go, unless you don't mind a grind of course. I suggest you liberate all of the bell towers as soon as you can because this will open up the map and reveal everything to you and of course there is an achievement in it for you. There are a total of 17 in the game, but you only need to liberate 8 for an achievement. To liberate them you need to climb to the top and interact with the radio. They are fairly easy to climb and they all follow a similar pattern. There is only one way to climb them so you shouldn't have trouble finding the path. As I said, you only need to do 8 out of the 17 for the achievement although you will likely end up doing more in order to open the map up.

  • End Transmission

Liberate 8 Bell Towers (Campaign only).

    End Transmission

As well as bell towers there are also 24 outposts in the game which need liberating. You can liberate these outposts how you see fit. You can either run in guns blazing and shoot the place up killing everyone or you can take a stealthy approach (there is an achievement for taking down an outpost without triggering an alarm). You can tag enemies using your phone. Press up on the D pad and zoom in on an enemy to tag him, this will allow you to keep track of the enemies in the outpost. (There is also an achievement for tagging enemies) You could also disable the alarms in order to prevent reinforcements. Sometimes there will be a caged animal inside the outpost which you can set free to let him do the work for you, or throw some bait in to lure a predator over. As I said there are numerous ways you can take the outposts down so just choose whichever style suits you and give them hell. There are 2 achievements tied to outposts, one for liberating 12 and one for liberating 24.

  • Deliver Us From Evil

    Liberate 12 Outposts (Campaign only).

    Deliver Us From Evil
  • All Clear

    Liberate all Outposts (Campaign only).

    All Clear

As I said there is an achievement for liberating an out post without raising an alarm. This isn't difficult to do as long as you're careful. You should tag all of the enemies from a distance before getting too close. You will also want to find out where the alarms are so you can either sneak in and disable them or take them out from a distance with your bow. If there is a predator inside you will want to release it to do some of the work for you. If you're lucky it will do all the work for you. Simply take your time and use your bow and takedowns. Also don't forget you can distract enemies by throwing rocks (there is an achievement for distracting enemies with rocks). I got it on the first outpost you have to liberate. There is an elephant in a cage you can release, a grassy verge you can climb up around the back and tag the enemies and there is a strong chance the elephant will kill everyone for you. If not, take your time and kill the remaining guards with your bow.

  • Tread Lightly

Liberate any Outpost without triggering an alarm in any mode (Campaign only).

    Tread Lightly

Whilst liberating the outposts if you tag enough enemies and distract enough with rocks you will grab yourself a couple of achievements. If you don't have them yet then don't panic as there are more than enough enemies in the game to grab these. You need to tag a total of 25 enemies and distract a total of 15 with rocks. Tagging the enemies is very easy. Distracting the enemies is a tiny bit trickier. You need to throw the rock close enough to the enemy for him to hear it and go and check out the noise. He then needs to decide that nothing is wrong and walk back to his original position. You must distract 15 different enemies too, so you can't grind this out on one guard.

  • Misdirection

Distract 15 enemies with rocks (Campaign only).

    Misdirection
  • Shutterbug

Tag 25 enemies using the camera (Campaign only).

    Shutterbug

Once you have started liberating outposts the Royal Army will start to try and take them back. These events are random, but they will only occur if you're close to a liberated outpost. Once one pops up simply head to the outpost and take out the enemies. Easy enough to do, but I had a little difficulty with this one because they weren't happening very often. I suggest you knock these out as soon as they pop up so you don't have any trouble like I did. Repel 3 of these attacks for the achievement.

  • Defender

Repel 3 Outpost Retaliation Parties (Campaign only).

    Defender

There are also fortresses in this game. They are very similar to the outposts, they are just bigger and better defended than outposts. There are 4 in total and you need to take down 2 for the achievement. If you're having trouble you can use your guns for hire tokens or grab a co-op buddy to help you. Be aware that if you do this in co-op then only the host will get the achievement.

  • Display Of Fortitude

    Conquer 2 Fortresses (Campaign only).

    Display Of Fortitude

There are several achievements based on killing enemies in certain ways. These are not difficult to do so don't panic. There are plenty of enemies in the game and even if you do happen to run out of enemies you can always reset the outposts in the options. You shouldn't have to worry about that though since you should certainly get these before the game ends.

You are able to ride elephants in this installment of Far Cry. You will need to unlock the skill which is found on the elephant side of the skill tree. Once you unlock the skill you need to find an elephant, jump on and kill 30 enemies. Elephants aren't overly common, but they aren't too hard to find. You can either look for the picture of an elephant on your map and find some in the wild, or you can head over to the Kyra Tea Terraces outpost, an elephant usually spawns in that area.

  • Tusker

Kill 30 enemies with an elephant (Campaign only).

    Tusker

Once you either complete enough missions or liberate enough bell towers you will gain access to the sniper rifle. You need to kill 2 enemies with a single bullet for the achievement. Now this achievement can be a little tricky and frustrating, but it is easy enough to do if you're patient. Simply head to an outpost and tag all the enemies within, watch their movements and wait for 2 of them to line up. 2 enemies will often stand together for a little while for a chat as they do their rounds. Once they are lined up simply aim for the heads. With a bit of luck you will nail the shot. If not, just keep trying it and you will get there.

  • Two Birds

Using a sniper rifle, kill 2 targets with a single shot (Campaign only).

    Two Birds

Much like Far Cry 3, there is an achievement for killing an enemy with the bow from a long distance. I suggest you find an enemy who is manning a turret. They probably won't move so you can take your time to line up the shot. If you want to make sure you're far enough away, simply put a marker on the enemy and back up until you're at least 60m back. You will want to use the recurve bow and attach the marksman sight. It might take a couple of tries, but you should nail it.

  • From A Distance

Kill a target from 60m or more with an arrow or bolt (Campaign only).

    From A Distance

There is an achievement for killing 4 enemies with a single explosion. This is easily done using either the RPG or an explosive arrow, although you can use any explosive you like. A good way to get this is to get an enemy to sound the alarm in an outpost. Once the reinforcements come try and hit their vehicle with an explosive. This might take a couple of tries but it isn't too hard.

  • Quad Kill

Kill 4 enemies simultaneously with a single explosion (Campaign only).

    Quad Kill

For this achievement you need to kill 30 enemies with a mortar. Mortars are located in some of the outposts in the game. A good way to get more kills is to purposely get the alarm sounded for more enemies. The outpost Shikharpur has a mortar in it. You can simply clear the outpost using mortars and then reset the outposts to respawn the enemies. I would suggest saving the grind until the end, because you may not need it if you use every mortar you come across whilst playing through the missions and clearing outposts and fortresses.

  • Reign Of Death

Kill 30 enemies with Mortar rounds (Campaign only).

    Reign Of Death

Once you unlock the vehicle takedown skill from the skill tree you will be able to perform a takedown from the Buzzard, a small helicopter. You can find the Buzzard at these coordinates X:305.3 Y:423.2. Hop on it and go find an enemy driving around. If you fly close enough to him a prompt will pop up telling you to press the press right stick in cn_RS to perform the takedown.

  • The Sky Is Falling

Perform a takedown from a Buzzer (Campaign only).

    The Sky Is Falling

Using molotovs, the flamethrower, or flaming arrows you are able to burn your enemies to death. Pretty grim right? You are required to burn 50 enemies for the achievement. If you finish without getting this achievement you can always reset the outposts to respawn the enemies.

  • Flame On!

Kill 50 enemies with fire (Campaign only).

    Flame On!

You need to kill 25 enemies whilst shooting them from a vehicle. When driving in a car you can press the left stick in cn_LS and the car will auto drive which will make it a little easier. You can also use the Buzzard and take down some outposts with it. Just use whichever vehicle you prefer and knock out the kills.

  • Drive-By

Kill 25 enemies while shooting and driving (Campaign only).

    Drive-By

You are also required to run over 25 enemies. There isn't much to say about this one since it is pretty self explanatory, just hop in a car and run over 25 enemies for the achievement. They will run away obviously, but they aren't hard to catch.

  • Roadkill

Run over 25 people (Campaign only).

    Roadkill

As well as the main campaign missions there are a series of side missions you can take part in. There are quite a few different types and they are all easy enough and pretty fun to do! The missions will appear on the map as you liberate bell towers and progress in the campaign.

One type of side mission is a hunting mission. There are 3 different types of hunting missions. The supply type will require you to hunt various different animals for supplies to give to the local people, Control types will have you culling a certain type of animal, Survival types will have you facing dangerous animals for some money and XP. You need to complete 6 of any combination of these missions for the achievement.

  • Well-Rounded

Complete any 6 Hunting quests (Supplies, Control, Survival) (Campaign only).

    Well-Rounded

The hostage rescue missions are self explanatory and will require you to rescue a total of 15 hostages. You will have to go to a certain area where the hostages are being held and you will need to rescue a certain amount to complete the mission. There are usually around 4 per mission. You need to be stealthy, if you are spotted the enemies will execute the hostages. Just take your time and go slow to ensure you don't get spotted. Do enough missions to rescue 15 hostages for the achievement.

  • No One Left Behind

Rescue 15 hostages in Hostage Rescue quests (Campaign only).

    No One Left Behind

There are 2 types of Kyrati film missions. A race one and a survival one. The race ones will have you racing a course and trying to beat a certain time to attain either a gold, silver or bronze medal. The survival ones have you start with a certain amount of time and you will gain more time for passing through checkpoints. You don't need to get gold one these in order to complete them as bronze will do just fine. You must complete 3 out if the 18 missions available for the achievement.

  • Gearhead

Complete 3 Kyrati Films: Racing or Kyrati Films: Survival activities (Campaign only).

    Gearhead

There are 2 different types of assassination missions in the game. Assassination types require you to seek out and kill a marked target. The eye for an eye missions will have you going after someone who has wronged the person you get the mission from. There are a total of 15 missions and you need to complete 3 of them for an achievement.

  • Trigger-Man

Complete 3 Assassination or Eye for an Eye quests (Campaign only).

    Trigger-Man

There are also bomb defusal missions which appear on the map. These require you to go to a certain location and defuse a bomb before it explodes. The bombs will be guarded, but these missions aren't difficult. There are a total of 7 missions and you need to do 3 of them for the achievement.

  • Defuser

Complete 3 Bomb Defusal quests (Campaign only).

    Defuser

There will also be fashion week missions available that will require you to hunt rare animals in order to get their skin which you can use to craft useful things. You will have to use a specific weapon to kill the animal or you will fail the mission. There are 9 of these in total and you have to complete 3 of them for the achievement.

  • The Rarest Game

Complete 3 Kyrat Fashion Week quests (Campaign only).

    The Rarest Game

You will need to craft 5 upgrades for your equipment. Open the crafting menu in order to see what animals you need for the upgrades. The animal locations are on the map so head over to whatever animal you need and get hunting. There isn't a guarantee the animals will spawn where they are supposed to right away, so it might take a little while to find them. Once you have enough skins for the upgrade, simply move onto the next animal.

  • Tricked Out

Craft 5 upgrades for your equipment (Campaign only).

    Tricked Out

You need to craft 15 syringes for an achievement. You will first need to unlock the related skills, then you will need to pick flowers/leaves. There are 4 different types of syringe you can craft. To craft a syringe you need to press and hold cn_LB, then press cn_RB to go to the syringe menu. Select any of the syringe choices, then as long as you have the required plants you have to press cn_RT to craft it. The easiest way to knock this out is to pick 2 green leaves which will automatically craft a syringe. Green leaves are very common so this shouldn't take long at all.

  • Dr. Feelgood

    Craft 15 syringes (Campaign only).

    Dr. Feelgood

The Arena is unlocked after completing their first mission. You'll have to compete in an Arena which consists of 5 waves of enemies you need to beat. After this mission, you can enter the Arena again at any time. Now you need to reach rank 5 in the arena and this is done by competing in it over and over until you have enough XP. There are 3 options to choose from, but the easiest is the first option, battles. You must face 3 waves of enemies, a combination of human enemies and predators. You can try and stay out of the way and let the predators and humans fight, picking off the survivors if you are struggling. The crowd will often throw down supplies to make your life easier. You will have to do this mode around 10 times in order to get the required XP to hit level 5.

  • The People's Champ

Reach Arena Rank 5 (Campaign Arena only).

    The People's Champ

After completing Yogi and Reggies first mission the Ghale homestead becomes available. Outside of the house there is a chap selling various things to spruce the house up a bit. You need to purchase 3 upgrades for the house in order to get the achievement. Unless you care about it you should just buy the cheapest possible upgrades to get the achievement. You will need 150,000 Rupees in order to buy the 3 cheapest upgrades. Buying any of the 3 upgrades will get you the achievement.

  • Fixer-Upper

Purchase 3 items for the Ghale Homestead (Campaign only).

    Fixer-Upper

You will need to purchase all available attachments and paint schemes for a single weapon for an achievement. The Mark IV Revolver is the cheapest option to get this achievement as it doesn't have any attachments and you obtain the gun for free during the prologue. There are 6 different paint schemes you need for it which will set you back 200,000 Rupees.

  • Custom-Fitted

Buy all attachments and paint schemes for a single weapon (Campaign only).

    Custom-Fitted

You can earn Karma by performing certain tasks. These things involve random encounters where you can help rebels fight off a group of enemy soldiers, or to save a hostage, or to save someone from being attacked by a wild animal, for killing animals using the bow and for also spinning the Mani wheels. A lot of these events are random so you will want to do them as you encounter them in order to boost your karma as quickly as possible. Be warned that you can lose karma by killing innocents and things like that. Once you reach karma level 2 head over to a merchant and buy a guns for hire upgrade under the items tab.

  • The Good Fight

Reach Karma Level 2, and purchase any Guns For Hire upgrade (Campaign only).

    The Good Fight

After purchasing all the treasure maps, the wing suit, the upgrades for the Ghale homestead and all of the paint schemes for the Mark IV Revolver, the Recurve bow, sight and the Guns for hire upgrade, you should have spent around 500,000 Rupees for an achievement. If you haven't, just keep purchasing attachments and paint schemes until the achievement unlocks.

  • Make It Rain

Spend 500,000 rupees total at Trading Posts (Campaign only).

    Make It Rain

As you play the game you will receive prompts about Royal Cargo trucks appearing in Kyrat. You will need to respond to these fairly quickly because they will vanish after a certain time and you will have a wait before the next one comes. If these aren't appearing on your map you might have to reset the outposts. You need at least 1 liberated outpost in order to complete these missions. You need to kill the driver of the truck without destroying it and then drive it back to the highlighted outpost. Simply get in front of the truck and shoot the driver through the window. You can also use the 'Vehicle Takedown' skill in order to take out the driver, which is easier than shooting him through the window. Hijack 3 of these trucks for the achievement.

  • Robin Hood

Hijack 3 Royal Cargo Trucks and return them to a liberated Outpost (Campaign only).

    Robin Hood

You should also see Pagans Wrath convoys pop up on the map. Unlike the Royal Cargo trucks the Pagans Wrath convoys will not vanish so you don't have to take them down as quickly. I would still suggest you do it as they pop up as there will be a delay before the next convoy shows up. In order to destroy them you need to kill all of the enemies in the convoy, the vehicles don't matter. I found it easier to get ahead of them and blow them all up. There will be armed enemies and gunners in the vehicles so be careful. They aren't difficult to take down, simply destroy 3 of these in order to get the achievement.

  • Hand Of Justice

Eliminate 3 Pagan's Wrath convoys (Campaign only).

    Hand Of Justice

You will have to max out the skill tree for an achievement and this is likely going to be the last achievement you unlock out of the single player ones. It makes sense to leave the grind until the end as you will gain enough XP whilst doing everything else to unlock the majority of the skills. Once you have done everything else there are a few options available to you for getting more XP.

If you'd like you can go out and find more of the various collectibles. It would take a while doing it this way, but the option is there if you feel like exploring. You could go and do some more of the side quests available. Again, this would take a while. There is however a much quicker way to get enough XP for the final few skills you're missing. You will need the Heavy Takedown skill in order to do this method.

You can grind XP at Pagan Min's Fortress after completing the game. There will be 3 heavy enemies in the Fortress as well as a few normal enemies. The aim of this is to use a takedown on the heavy enemies for 750XP each. You might not get them all on the first few runs without the enemies being alerted, but with practice you will end up being able to do it with ease. You can tag the enemies to keep track of them to make your life a little easier. You will see one of the heavies in front of you as you enter. Tag him, but leave him be for now. Go up the stair to the left as you enter and there will be a heavy over to your left once you reach the top of the stairs. Turn around and you will see a soldier on a gun turret on the wooden walk way. Shoot him in the head and then run and perform a drop takedown on the heavy you saw as you entered the area, if you tagged him then he will be easy to find. Once you've killed them, save your game then allow yourself to be killed. Once you respawn outside all the enemies inside will have respawned too. Simply repeat this process until you have enough XP for the final few skills. Do not kill every enemy in the base because if you do they will stop respawning. There are 2 achievements tied to the skill tree and you will get them both once you've unlocked every skill.
